Timeshares

There are very few people out there who have not either been asked to buy a timeshare by someone or know someone who owns a timeshare. Well most people seem to be split down the middle on their opinion of timeshares. Half of people think timeshares are a great real-estate opportunity, while the other half believes that timeshares are just scams for a small group of people to make millions. Regardless of which group you fall into timeshares can be a good opportunity.

A timeshare is a vacation property that several different people have ownership over. For the most part timeshares are condominium vacation resorts. Some timeshare developers have started a new trend, and they are now offering houseboats, campgrounds, yachts, motor homes, etcetera as timeshares.

Most timeshares are set up like apartments for two people or a small family, but others have three or four bedrooms for larger families. Also most timeshares do come furnished, especially the kitchen, and it is now becoming common for washers and dryers to be included with the timeshare or at least a laundry room at the resort. You need to keep in mind that most resort timeshares have strict rules when it comes to how many guests are allowed per unit. Also do not get confused about the terminology of what sleep privately really means. Sleep privately just means the number of guests that will not have to worry about another guest walking through their sleeping corridor in order to use the restroom.
